About the Job:
Imagine stepping into a central role where you lead the charge in transforming raw data into powerful insights. As the Data & Analytics Manager, you'll be the conductor of our data orchestra, ensuring every report sings, every dashboard illuminates, and every analytic deliverable tells a clear, compelling story. You'll oversee the daily operations of a talented team, manage project coordination, and act as the vital bridge between our technical experts, internal departments, and executive leadership. What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily operations of the Data & Analytics team, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Assign and manage team tasks and priorities, balancing ad hoc requests with recurring work streams.
- Lead project planning efforts, especially around new data file integrations, reporting enhancements, or analytic deliverables.
- Act as the primary liaison between the data team and internal stakeholders (Client Success, Clinical Operations, Sales), as well as external vendors and clients.
- Ensure transparency and accountability through meticulous project tracking, documentation, and communication.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to deeply understand their data needs and translate them into actionable plans for the analytics team.
- Recommend process improvements and strategies to increase team efficiency, improve data consistency, and streamline reporting workflows.
- Provide regular guidance to business users on how to access and interpret dashboards, reports, and analytics tools effectively.
- Participate in strategic planning with department leadership, contributing valuable insights on resource capacity, project feasibility, and future data capabilities.
- Support the creation and refinement of reports, dashboards, and metrics by helping ensure the team’s output consistently meets business objectives.
- Review and approve deliverables for clarity, accuracy, and relevance to client or internal needs.
- Advocate for best practices in data handling, documentation, and project workflows across the organization.
- Help prioritize enhancements to self-service tools and actively promote user adoption across departments.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with healthcare data or analytics, preferably in a payer, provider, or employer-based healthcare environment.
- Prior experience managing or leading a team of analysts or technical professionals.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Excel, SQL, or similar tools used in healthcare analytics.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of healthcare data types such as medical claims, Rx claims, eligibility, and biometric information.
- Customer service mindset with a focus on delivering accurate, timely, and relevant insights to internal and external clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with file-based data operations (e.g., eligibility loads, claims data exchange, SFTP) preferred.
- Exposure to project management tools and methodologies is preferred.
- Understanding of data privacy and HIPAA compliance practices preferred.
