We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Business Development to spearhead our growth initiatives specifically within the Western US market.
General Summary:
The VP, Business Development (Western US) will drive revenue growth by delivering Employer Sponsored Primary Care solutions to large and mid-market employers. This role owns the full sales cycle, requiring a strong understanding of the Western US healthcare landscape, C-level relationship building, and strategic sales execution.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Drive Western US Revenue: Manage full sales cycle to achieve revenue targets in the Western US.
- Consultative Selling: Understand client needs and present value proposition.
- Build Relationships: Develop client, broker, and consultant relationships in the Western US.
- Develop Strategic Deals: Leverage networks to create strategic partnerships.
- Engage C-Level Executives: Secure deals with Western US employers.
- Demonstrate Product Expertise: Understand and articulate product value.
- Lead Proposals & Presentations: Create and deliver compelling sales materials.
- Manage Sales Pipeline: Track leads and opportunities.
- Meet Sales Targets: Achieve individual and company revenue goals.
- Optimize Sales Process: Improve closing rates.
- Manage Territory & Forecast: Plan and monitor sales activities.
- Utilize CRM: Track activity and reporting.
- Collaborate Post-Sale: Ensure client success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments.
- Analyze Market Trends: Report on Western US market conditions.
- Perform Other Duties: As assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
Experience:
- Health Benefit Consulting or Clinical Background strongly preferred.
- 10+ years proven sales experience, exceeding quotas.
- 5+ years C-level consultative sales in large-market self-insured employers (Western US).
- Strong broker/consultant relationships in the Western US.
- Executive-level relationships in Western US employer HR benefits.
- Strong understanding of the Western US healthcare ecosystem.
- Proven business development and negotiation skills.
- Experience closing complex sales in the Western US.
- Proven revenue growth with strategic clients.
- Success in meeting/exceeding sales targets.
- Experience with complex commercial/legal negotiations.
- Strong presentation, prospecting, and closing skills.
- Ability to drive sales urgency.

- Compensation: $150k Base plus Commissions
