About the Job:
About the Role: We are seeking a Physician to join our City of Little Rock team. This role offers a unique dual focus: while you will provide dedicated Primary Care, approximately 80% of your daily practice will center on Occupational Health and Medicine. You will lead early intervention and workplace injury management while also overseeing chronic disease and long-term wellness for our patient population in a setting that values quality over volume.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities in Patient Care):
- Comprehensive Care: Provide both in-person and virtual visits to increase access and continuity of care.
- Diagnosis & Planning: Prescribe medications and develop personalized health plans with your patients.
- Wellness Education: Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and lifestyle management.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with physicians, medical assistants, and other clinicians.
- Culture: Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinic culture.
Requirements:
- Preferred 3-5 years of Occupational Health
- Knowledge or experience with NFPA Requirements for Fire Fighter Exams
- Work Injury Treatment and Return to Work
- DOT Physicals
- Certified Medical Examiner Current Certification highly preferred
Occupational Health Services:
- Worker’s Compensation Illness and Injury Care
- Physical Exams – pre-employment and annual physicals, return to work, fitness for duty, Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals, Public Safety pre-employment and annual physicals.
- Drug and alcohol testing including (DOT and Non-DOT) Pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion.
- Audiometric Testing
- Spirometry Testing
- Respirator Surveillance monitoring
Primary Care: EE on health plan
- Preventive Care and Screenings
- Chronic Condition Management
- Acute/Sick Care
- Minor Medical Procedures
What You’ll Bring to the Team (Minimum Qualifications):
- Must see children ages 2+
- Provide Virtual care to patients when needed and clinically appropriate.
- Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting.
- Experience prescribing appropriate medications, treatments, and health regimens to treat patient health Issues.
- DEA required for prescribing and dispensing.
- Ability to pass on-site credentialing.
- Board Eligible/Certified in Primary Care or a related field; Occupational Medicine certification or equivalent relevant clinical experience preferred.
- Degree from an accredited United States Medical School
- Must complete and pass a residency program in the United States
- Comply with all medical laws and HIPAA standards.
- Current license in the state or states where physician will practice.
- Strong desire to promote health, disease management and prevention.
